Improving Recognition Accuracy

How can I improve recognition accuracy within SayIt?

Fine Tune SayIt

Use the “Fine Tune SayIt” feature, located under the Options menu, under Settings. Just open a text editor and dictate the problem word(s) in a sentence. Correct the mistakes, and click the OK + Tune button. Voice profiles are updated overnight, so when you try the word the next day, SayIt should easily recognize it. Another way to improve recognition is for the administrator to use the Administrator Console to listen to a recording and check the audio quality. The administrator can make corrections there, which are also applied to the user’s voice profile at night.

Sharing Shortcuts

How can I share shortcuts with my coworkers?

Use the Administrative Console

The Administrative Console allows administrators to generate a list of user shortcuts that can be applied to all user profiles within an organization, or just an appropriate subset of users. This helps make notes more consistent across the organization, and makes it easy to train new users and set standards across user groups.

Best Practices

Fine-Tuning Your Voice Profile

To help SayIt learn more about your unique voice, it is a good idea to periodically use the Fine Tune SayIt feature. Simply go to Options, open the Settings window, then select "Fine Tune SayIt." Open up another application and place your cursor in a text field. When you press F2 and start dictating, the words will appear in the SayIt window for review. Try using your problem word in a sentence to give SayIt the context.

Achieving Value with the SayIt Administrator Console

The SayIt Administrator Console is an incredible way to add value to a SayIt deployment. Not only can the administrator centrally manage and configure accounts, but this powerful tool supports adoption, voice recognition accuracy, consistency and quality of notes, and knowledge transfer across the organization.
